A traffic complaint made by a concerned citizen resulted in members of the Prince Edward County OPP arresting an individual for impaired driving.

Officers received a traffic complaint at approximately 10:45 p.m. on March 27 indicating a vehicle was being operated in a dangerous manner.

Officers located the driver and an Approved Screening Device was used, resulting in the driver being arrested.

Dwayne Benway, 67, of Prince Edward County has been charged with impaired driving and driving while over 80 mg.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on May 6.

Their driver’s licence was also suspended for a period of 90 days and their vehicle impounded for 7 days.
