The success is not stopping for Trennt Michaud and partner Lia Pereira.

A month after finishing in the Top 10 of the Pairs Skating Program at the Milan Cortina Olympics, the skaters are back competing for gold at the 2026 World Figure Skating Championships in Prague, Czechia.

Michaud, a native of Quinte West, and Pereira finished third in the short program Wednesday with a 75.52 mark, setting a new personal record.

The skaters will hit the ice again Thursday afternoon, with their skate anticipated around 3 p.m. Eastern Time.
