The casual presentations will highlight fascinating stories from Glanmore’s collections and Belleville’s past. Each talk will take place in the museum’s breakfast room on the main level and will offer guests an opportunity to learn more about local history in an intimate setting.
The Parlour Talks series will feature the following presentations:

The Belleville Kilties Band: Learn about the world-renowned touring band that brought international recognition to Belleville in the early 1900s.
• Thursday, April 23 – 2 p.m.
How a Train Delay Brought a Museum to Belleville: Discover the unexpected story behind how the Couldery collection of European fine art and decorative objects arrived in the city.
• Thursday, May 21 – 2 p.m.
190 Years of Policing in Belleville: Explore highlights from Glanmore’s newest exhibit examining nearly two centuries of policing in the community.
