Athlete of the Week: Rosie Rosborough

By Katie Sherratt Feb 13, 2026 | 12:24 PM

Congratulations to Rosie Rosborough, the Cool 100 and Hits 95.5 Athlete of the Week!

Sports: Girls Rep Hockey and Eventing (Horse Riding)

Team Names: Cold Creek Comets (Hockey) & Harper Run Stables (Horse Riding)

When you watch Rosie as an athlete, you ALWAYS see a team player. She wants her teammates to do their best, whether it’s playing hockey or riding out in the field. Rosie is playing her first year of all-girls Rep Hockey and has come so far in a short period. She plays defense and is crazy fast, always giving it her all to get back to the net to protect her goalie. Her nickname on the team is Honey Badger, which fits her perfectly! She had a bad hit and suffered a concussion before Christmas. She was out for about a month. We thought she might be timid coming back from that, but she seems tougher and faster than ever! She is one of the bravest kids I know at just 13 years old. It doesn’t matter if she is galloping towards a cross-country jump that is 3 feet tall or digging for the puck in the corners; she never shows fear.

Nominate your athlete at www.cool100.ca or www.hits955.ca. Tell us their story and why they deserve the spotlight. We’ll feature them on air on Cool 100 and Hits 955, on our socials, and on InQuinte.ca! Plus, the athlete of the week will win vouchers to enjoy 2 free extra value meals from participating McDonald’s restaurants in Trenton, Brighton, and Campbellford!
