Wind Warning issued for PEC, Napanee and Kingston

Strong winds could cause a few problems on Friday afternoon in some parts of the Quinte Region.

Environment Canada has issued a Wind Warning (yellow) for Prince Edward County, Napanee and Kingston.

Strong winds are expected this afternoon with gusts approaching 100 km/hr in those areas.

Heavy rain is expected on Friday, with 10 to 20 mm possible.

A Special Weather Statement has been issued for other parts of the Quinte Region with winds gusting up to 70 to 90 km/hour this afternoon before winds ease off tonight.
