Snowfall Warning lifted in Quinte

UPDATE – the Snowfall Warning was lifted around 6:45 am, though snow is expected to continue until mid-afternoon on Monday.

ORIGINAL STORY – Environment Canada has extended the Snowfall Warning for the Bay of Quinte Region.

Total snowfall amounts of 20 to 35 cm were predicted for the area including the overnight period from Sunday to Monday.

Reduced visibility in heavy and local blowing snow is still very possible.

Snowfall rates of 2 to 6 cm an hour hit the area overnight, with lighter snow expected to continue until Monday afternoon.

Motorists should travel with extreme caution if travel is necessary, until conditions improve.
