School buses cancelled in Quinte on Monday

Heavy snow in the forecast is resulting in some last-minute changes for parents on the first day after the Christmas break.

On Monday (Jan 5th), Tri-Board issued the following notice.

NOTICE – Due to snow conditions expected across our region, all school bus and taxi transportation is cancelled in the Tri-Board Student Transportation Services area today.

Schools will remain open however any students driven to school by parents/guardians will need to be picked up at the end of the day.

All Mohawk buses were also cancelled for Monday, and the notice below was issued at 6:05 to cancel buses in Northumberland.

ALL SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION CANCELLED IN STSCO REGION- Please be advised that, due to the forecasted inclement weather and poor driving conditions are expected throughout the afternoon. In the interest of safety, bus and transportation service is cancelled to ALL schools in the STSCO jurisdiction for the day. This includes all KPR, PVNC and MonAvenir schools in Peterborough City and County, Northumberland County and Clarington.  Schools will remain open but all busing is cancelled. Posted 6:05am.
