Mild start to week turns to cold snap in Quinte by Thursday

A mild start to the week in Quinte will change to a major cold snap on Thursday.

Daytime highs are expected to be above zero for the Monday to Wednesday period, with the overnight low on Tuesday night not dipping below zero either.

That changes in a big way on Wednesday night, with the overnight low dipping to minus 12.

The projected high of Thursday is then expected to hover around minus 9.

Typical daytime highs for this time of year are around minus 3, with typical lows of minus 12 in mid-January.
