On December 31, 2025, at approximately 5:10 a.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of an individual who appeared to be in distress in the area of Front Road and the entrance to Lemoine’s Point.

Officers attended the area in order to perform a welfare check and located a heavily damaged motor vehicle nearby. A K9 track was subsequently commenced which began at the damaged vehicle.

The K9 handler, assisted by members of the Patrol Division located an individual, believed to have been operating the motor vehicle, approximately one kilometer from the collision site.
