Campbellford Memorial Hospital is reacting to an increase in respiratory illnesses in and outside of its walls.
Until further notice, CMH officials say visiting on the Inpatient Unit will be limited to one visitor at a time per patient in order to mitigate and prevent further illnesses, as well as protect patients, visitors and staff.
Visitors are reminded that masking is required while on the Inpatient Unit.
Masks are available upon entry to the hospital and must be worn throughout the visit.
Individuals who are experiencing respiratory symptoms or who are feeling unwell are asked to postpone visiting until their symptoms have fully resolved.
CMH continues to offer virtual visiting options for patients and families who are unable to visit in-person. Hospital staff are available to assist with setting up virtual visits as needed.
Campbellford Memorial Hospital will continue to monitor respiratory illness trends in collaboration with public health and will adjust precautions as appropriate.
