Bitterly cold conditions are being felt in the Bay of Quinte region this morning.
Environment Canada reports wind chill values near minus 30 to minus 33 are being felt.
Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.
Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
Anyone outdoors is highly recommended to cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with the wind chill.
Check on older family, friends, and neighbours.
Do not keep pets outdoors.
Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks to warm up.
