Shawn Davey elected to fill vacant seat in Napanee

Turnout was fairly low as voters in Napanee chose who would fill a vacant seat on Council until elections are held in October.

A by-election was held on Monday to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Councillor Dave Pinnell Jr. back in July.

Voter turnout was 29%, with Shawn Davey receiving 492 votes, more than twice as many as the next highest candidate.

Davey would serve out the rest of the term until municipal elections are held across Ontario in October.

The results, made official on Tuesday afternoon, can be seen below.
