Huff Family Fund benefits worthy PEC organizations

A family in Prince Edward County continues to make a profound impact on their community through an annual funding grant initiative.

The County Foundation announced the 2025 Huff Family Fund grant recipients at Huff Estates Winery last Wednesday.

The Huff Family Fund was established in 2017 by Lanny and Catherine Huff and officially launched in 2018 and is managed by The County Foundation.

It supports a broad range of organizations benefiting Prince Edward County including addiction and mental health, animal welfare, arts and culture, healthcare and human services, housing issues and Vital Signs priority areas.

The 2025 Huff Family Fund grants totaling $250,000 will benefit 22 organizations who make a difference in the community across many vital sectors. The Huff Family Fund is a matching grant, meaning that each dollar received must be matched by either dollars or volunteer time, increasing the impact of the funding.

“Their leadership reminds us how powerful it is when individuals and families choose to give back. We are fortunate in Prince Edward County to have donors like the Huff Family, who recognize the value of broad, cross-sector support and who support programs and services that impact so many people in Prince Edward County,” stated Gillian Armstrong, Interim Executive Director of The County Foundation.
