Charges laid after two-vehicle crash in Loyalist Township

Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving related charges following a collision in Loyalist Township.

On Monday December 15, 2025, shortly before 7:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were advised by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) of a two-vehicle collision on Amherst Drive in Loyalist Township. Police attended, and after being treated by EMS, one driver was arrested.

Nikolas DICKSON, a 27-year-old from Gananoque, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
  • Careless driving
  • Fail to surrender licence

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 6, 2026.

Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.
