Breach of probation following disturbance in Belleville

A woman has been charged after breaching a probation order in Belleville.

Late Christmas night, Belleville Police officers responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the city’s east end.

The disturbance reportedly involved a woman who had been in contact with a male and engaged in a verbal dispute.

Officers confirmed the female was bound by conditions to not communicative with the male.

A 36-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with failure to comply with a probation order.

She was held for a bail hearing.
