Despite some rough weather throughout December, the community still came through for the Rushlow Family Christmas Display.
Over several weekends leading up to Christmas, residents came by 89 South John St. to check out the festive display and donate to worthy causes.
Family patriarch Fred Rushlow stated supporters contributed around 5o pounds of food for the Gleaners Food Bank, toys, games and other items for the Belleville Professional Firefighters Association Toy Drive and $367 in cash for the local Alzheimer’s Society.
Rushlow also gave a shout out to McDowell’s Independent Grocer, Mackay Insurance, the Boathouse Seafood Restaurant and Split Second Printing for sponsoring the display this year.
