Uptick in October construction value in Belleville

The City of Belleville is seeing an uptick in construction value from October of last year to the same month this year.

The city’s monthly building report, released Friday, indicated 111 permits were issued, 79 residential, at a construction value of $76 million.

That’s above the 55 permits at a value of $51.2 million recorded in October 2024.

Belleville is seeing gains in year-to-date numbers as well, with 528 permits issued at a value of $214 million, higher than that of 2024 through the first 10 months, where it was at $131.2 million.
