The Napanee Raiders found the win column twice to highlight this weekend’s action in the PJHL Tod Division.
THURSDAY
CHIEFS 7 PIRATES 4
Gerrit Kempers scored twice and Luc Amat notched three assists, but the Picton Pirates could outmuscle the division-leading Lakefield Chiefs, falling 7-4.
Nate Woods added a goal and an assist and Caleb Martin found the net for Picton.
Nolan Lane was busy in net with 44 saves as Lakefield outshot the Pirates 51-23.
FRIDAY
RAIDERS 4 HUSKIES 2
Andrew Carr scored two big goals in the back half of the third period to help the Napanee Raiders double the Frankford Huskies 4-2 on Halloween Night.
Owen Lutz answered a Ronnie Watson tally with his first as a Raider and the game remained tense and tied until Carr’s goal halfway through the final frame.
Mason Goodfellow added an empty-netter and Jacob Brown kicked out 43 in a first star performance.
Jack Kuipers notched his first PJHL goal for Frankford and Liam Boyer made 16 stops.
Frankford outshot Napanee 45-20.
SATURDAY
RAIDERS 5 PANTHERS 1
The Raiders kept the good times rolling into November with a decisive victory over the Port Hope Panthers.
Goodfellow buried a hat trick to lead the offensive charge for Napanee.
Lutz and Reid Lambert also scored for the Raiders, with Jackson Barnes picking up three assists.
Denholm Blair stopped 24 to lift the Raiders to victory.
SUNDAY
PIRATES 4 THUNDER 3 (OT)
The Pirates atoned for their defeat on Thursday, getting an overtime winner from Owen Findlay to beat the Trent Hills Thunder 4-3.
Colby Leaver and Cole Mulder each had a goal and an assist and Keenan Wiles buried one marker for Picton.
Nick Parodo got the win with 36 saves.
Jack Andrews tallied once for Trent Hills and Gavin Wallace scored twice to wipe out a 3-1 deficit and push the game into overtime.
Former Pirate Isaac Krentz assisted on the tying goal against his old squad and Christian Lambert made 33 saves.
HUSKIES 4 JETS 3
Blake Ellis’ two goals put the Frankford Huskies over the Amherstview Jets in a tight game on Sunday.
Mason Boyer and Riley Grimmon each recorded a goal and an assist.
Jaime Bales made 18 stops.
