Man charged with uttering threats in Belleville

A Belleville man was charged with uttering threats following an incident on Tuesday night.

On November 11th at 7:09pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a report a roommate dispute.

Officers were told that a male had been making threats to his roommate including that he was going to slit his throat. It was also learned that the male was on conditions to be of good behaviour.

As a result, a 46-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:

· Uttering threats

· Failure to comply with a release order

He was held for a bail hearing.
