The Deseronto Bulldogs got goals from nine different skaters as they blasted the Lindsay Barncats 11-1 in a Northern Premier Sr. A Hockey League blowout last weekend at Deseronto.

The Tweed Oil Kings and County Royals weren’t as fortunate as Deseronto, however, as both local squads lost their weekend games. The undefeated Smiths Falls Rideaus (3-0) topped Tweed 9-5 while the Durham Hawks, also undefeated at 3-0, crowned the Royals 7-3.

BULLDOGS 11, BARNCATS 1

Luc Brown led the offensive onslaught for Deseronto with two goals and five assists for a seven-point outing while Cam Yuill also tallied twice. Greg Arnburg chipped in with a goal and three helpers while Jeff Morris, Dorian Overland, Ethan Coens, Jordon Cannons, Ian Harrison and Jonny Hill also scored for the Bulldogs. Jason Shaw and Alex Yuill each registered four assists.

In goal, Corey Kuypers posted the W as his Deseronto teammates outshot the visitors 64-40.

Bulldogs improve to 2-and-2 in second place in the four-team Highlands Division.

ON DECK: Deseronto at Durham, Saturday at 8:30 p.m.

RIDEAUS 9, OIL KINGS 5

Nathaniel Burelle, Dawson Ellis, Mitch Burke, Dan Atkinson and Brody Morris scored on the road for Tweed, which fell to .500 at 2-and-2. Undefeated Smiths Falls improved to 3-and-0.
