Three arrested in stolen property investigation near Gilmour

Three people face multiple charges in connection to an investigation into stolen property in the Bancroft area.

On Friday, September 5, 2025, shortly after 11:00 a.m., two people were arrested near Gilmour, Ontario in relation to warrants from several different jurisdictions. Members of Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE), Emergency Response Team, East Region Community Street Crime Unit, and Bancroft Detachment assisted with the arrests.

Upon further investigation a stolen ATV and SUV were located, and a third person was arrested.

Robin BLUNDELL, age 40, of Yarker has been charged with the following offences:

·      Fail to comply with a probation order

·      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of a schedule I substance – Fentanyl

Lisa SWEET, age 52, of Addington Highlands has been charged with the following offences:

·      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of a schedule I substance – Fentanyl

Mathew FRENCH, age 34, of Kingston has been charged with the following offences:

·      Fail to comply with a probation order – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – two counts

·      Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of a schedule I substance – Fentanyl

·      Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order – two counts

SWEET and FRENCH remain in custody. BLUNDELL was released following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft at a later date.
