Quinte West swinging ‘Doors Open’ for visitors Oct. 4

14 unique Quinte West sites will have their Doors Open in a couple weeks time for visitors.

The Doors Open Quinte West event is on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants can explore local history, culture, innovation, and architecture through self-guided tours, family-friendly activities, and engaging displays.

Farmtown Park – 437 West Front Street, Stirling
H2O Getaways Boutique Houseboats – 155 County Road 33 (Lock #1), Trenton
Lauzer House – historically Dr. Farncomb’s house built in 1917*- 81 Henry Street, Trenton
National Air Force Museum of Canada – 220 RCAF Road, Astra
Old Wooler Schoolhouse – 62 County Road 5, Quinte West
Ontario Genealogical Society at the Quinte West Public Library*- 7 Creswell Drive, Trenton
Parks Canada, Trent-Severn Waterway Lock #1 – 29-45 County Rd 33, Trenton
Paulette Kinmond Art Gallery – 195 Riverside Parkway, Frankford
Quinte Masonic Centre – 33 King Drive, Frankford
Quinte Museum of Natural History*- 99 Dufferin Avenue, Trenton

This annual event is free to attend and part of Doors Open Ontario, a province-wide initiative led by the Ontario Heritage Trust that provides meaningful experiences and fosters appreciation for community heritage.

Admission is free to all Doors Open Quinte West sites and some sites will have limited parking.

A free Quinte Transit shuttle is available from Quinte West City Hall on a loop to six sites in Trenton beginning at 10 a.m.
