Amat hat trick a highlight in Pirates loss

By Hailey MacDonald Sep 24, 2025 | 9:17 AM

A Luc Amat hat trick was not quite enough for the Picton Pirates in a 7-4 road loss against the Lakefield Chiefs on Tuesday night.

Cole Stevenson assisted on all three of Amat’s markers, while Gerrit Kempers added two helpers.

Nate Woods’ first of the PJHL season accounted for the other Picton goal.

Nolan Lane made 43 saves in a valiant effort.

The Pirates will welcome the Port Hope Panthers to the Prince Edward Community Centre for their home opener on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
