A serious and alarming incident at a youth soccer game on Wednesday led to a list of charges being laid against a Napanee woman.

Lennox and Addington County OPP had to be called in after a woman had reportedly smashed the window of a vehicle, threatened to kill bystanders and attempted to abduct a 12-year-old youth attending a soccer game at Kinsman Field on Raglan Street in Napanee.

A parent attending the game intervened and the child was safely removed from the situation prior to the involved person fleeing on foot.

31-year-old Alysha Bourdeau faces two counts each of assault with a weapon, and mischief destroying or damaging property, one charge each of uttering death threats and abduction of a person under 14 years of age and eight counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Police say the accused was known to police and had previously arrested in connection to a drug trafficking and stolen property investigation in Napanee.

Bourdeau was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Napanee Court on Thursday.
