UPDATE – Pedestrian struck by train in Belleville

Belleville Police have released more information about an incident where one person was struck by a train in the heart of Belleville on Sunday morning.

Officials say the woman who was struck was taken to the hospital in critical condition. No other details are currently available.

ORIGINAL STORY – Belleville Police Service responded to a report of an individual being struck by a train early Sunday morning.

The individual was struck on Coleman and Dundas St at approximately 4am.

The scene was cleared around 7am.

No details have been released on the state of the person.

More information may be released on Monday.
