The wildfire in Marmora and Lake has been extinguished.

Firefighters have been battling the blaze, estimated to be nearly 13 hectares in size, since August 10.

The municipality announced on Monday that the wildfire “has now been classified as out.”

Officials extended their gratitude to the Ministry of Natural Resources and their fire crews for their tireless work and dedication.

They also thanked firefighters in Wollaston, Limerick, and Marmora and Lake for their diligence and support throughout this time.

A complete fire ban remains in place for the entire Municipality of Marmora and Lake.
