Deseronto man wanted on outstanding warrant faces drug charge in Belleville

A Deseronto man faces drug charges after being picked up on an outstanding warrant in Belleville.

Friday night around 6:40pm, officers with Belleville Police on general patrol in the city’s east end observed a male known to be wanted on outstanding warrants in Belleville.

Officers spoke to the male and arrested him on the strength of the warrants.

At the time, police seized a quantity of cocaine and percocet pills.

As a result, John Gannon, 32-year-old Deseronto man was charged additionally with two counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.

His name was not released. He was held for a bail hearing.
