Beyond the Headlines – Go BSens Go!

By Nicole Kleinsteuber Aug 15, 2025 | 12:05 PM

One of my earliest memories is holding my father’s hand in one hand and a Reese’s peanut butter cup in the other, while cheering, “Go Bulls Go!”

These cherished memories have grown even more significant since his passing in May.

The thrill and excitement of a Saturday night home hockey game is a joy I now share with my children.

From the Belleville Bulls to the Belleville Senators, there’s nothing quite like the exhilaration of supporting our home team.

This week’s news about the BSens and the City of Belleville signing a three-year lease extension, with the option for five years, deserves a round of applause.

After the loss of our beloved Bulls, we have been fortunate to celebrate hometown hockey once more.

The Belleville Senators, the AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators, shine in developing high-calibre players for the NHL.

Since 20-17, we’ve had a front-row seat to intense, high-level hockey, thanks to a team and their mascot, Belly, who have become invaluable members of our community.

Their active participation in off-ice programming and fundraising initiatives has made a positive impact on the Quinte community.

As they prepare for their home opener on Saturday, October 18, let’s extend a warm welcome back to the CAA arena.

Let’s show our team how much they mean to us by filling the stands and cheering for them throughout the season.

This commitment ensures our team remains here for many years to come and for future generations.

Go Belleville Sens Go!
