Quinte’s newest lottery prize winner is enjoying his $50,000 windfall.

Daniel Dupuis of Campbellford won the money from Instant Crossword after 20 years of playing lotteries with OLG.

The 76-year-old retiree said he bought three tickets at the Centre Store in Campbellford and won the big prize on the last ticket.

“In that moment, I was so happy and surprised. I couldn’t sleep that night because of all the excitement!”

“The next morning, Daniel revealed the incredible news to his wife. “At first, she was in disbelief,” he said with a smile. “When I had my ticket validated and a representative from OLG called, that’s when she realized it was real.”

Dupuis says he plans to use the money to pay off his vehicle and save for the future.
