The investigation is continuing into a fire which struck a business near the downtown core on Monday afternoon.

Belleville Firefighters responded to a call at Inoutsnackz at the corner of Moira Street and North Front at 1:36 pm.

Crews brought the fire under control quickly, but remained on scene for some time looking for hot spots in the attic.

There were no injuries.

They were asking drivers to avoid the area as it was quite congested around the scene.

Fire prevention has responded to the site of the fire and is leading the ongoing investigation.
