Potential funding is on the way for three local daycare organizations.
The Hastings County Community and Human Services Committee recommended at its meeting Wednesday that council approve $181,500 in one-time EarlyON funding.
$163,350 of that total will be allocated as program funding and $18,150 allocated as administration funding.
The program funding will be distributed to the approved EarlyON Child and Family Centres as follows;
Family Space Quinte Inc. (Belleville) – $102,911
North Hastings Children’s Services – $40,837
Trenton Military Family Resource Centre – $19,602
Back in June, the federal government announced an additional $5.4 billion national allocation over the current and next fiscal year for the CWELCC system.
The funding recommendation will go to Hastings County Council for final approval.
