Local closures for Labour Day weekend

Several closures are in place in Quinte for Labour Day Monday.

City Hall, the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, Glanmore National Historic Site, the Leaf and Yard Waste Depot, the Belleville Public Library and community archives are all closed.

Regular transit and mobility transit will not run either.

Quinte Mall will be closed, but Galaxy Cinemas and some restaurants will be open.

Most retail outlets will be closed though some grocery stores, and pharmacies will be available to serve.

There is no change to regular public hours for the Thurlow Landfill and Hazardous and Electronic Waste Depot sites.

In Quinte West City Hall, the Frankford Municipal Office and the Frankford Yard Waste Depot will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, for Labour Day.

The County of Prince Edward municipal offices will also be closed for the holiday, reopening Tuesday.
The Prince Edward Community Centre (375 Picton Main Street) and the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street) are closed today as well, and County Transit will be parked for the day.
The County Museums will be closed on Monday, September 7.
Marinas will remain open.
There will be no changes to curbside garbage, green bin or bulky items collection in these municipalities.
