A Carrying Place man is dealing with serious injuries after a collision between a motorcycle and vehicle in the Kawartha Lakes area on Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews from Kawartha Lakes Fire & Rescue and paramedic services, as well as the OPP, responded to the collision on Highway 7.
The 37-year-old motorcycle rider was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital before being transferred to a Toronto-area trauma centre for further treatment.
The driver of the motor vehicle involved was assessed at the scene by paramedics and released.
Highway 7 remained closed for much of the day while members of the OPP Technical Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team assisted with the investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
