A local men’s group is boosting the future of performing arts in Belleville.
The Belleville Theatre Guild is pleased to announce that it has been selected by 100 Men Who Care Quinte as the recipient of its latest quarterly donation.
The contribution marks the launch of The Belleville Theatre Guild’s 75th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign, which will raise funds to address critical infrastructure needs at the Pinnacle Playhouse and help ensure a strong future for community theatre in Belleville.
The donation follows a vote by the 100 members of 100 Men Who Care Quinte, who chose to direct their collective support to the Guild.
Their decision represents a meaningful show of community investment in the arts and recognizes the importance of preserving local spaces where performers, volunteers and audiences come together.
Ken Manderville nominated the Guild for consideration. The Belleville Theatre Guild extends its thanks to Ken, the organizing team of Colin McLean, Ken Manderville, Eric Fetterley, Tony McGarvey and Ian Press, and all 100 members who voted to support the organization.
“We are incredibly grateful that 100 Men Who Care Quinte chose to support the Belleville Theatre Guild,” stated Kathleen Manderville, President of the Belleville Theatre Guild.
“The fact that 100 individuals came together and voted to invest in community theatre sends a powerful message about the value of the arts in our region. This generous contribution is a wonderful way to launch our 75th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign, and it will help us protect and improve the theatre that has brought our community together for generations.”
The BTG’s campaign will focus on replacing aging sound and lighting equipment and completing necessary electrical work to support the continued operation of the theatre.
The Pinnacle Playhouse has served as a home for local performers, volunteers and audiences for decades. Investing in its infrastructure will help ensure the venue remains a vibrant and welcoming space for community theatre for years to come.
