Street sweeping and brushingto begin in PEC on Tuesday

The County of Prince Edward will be sweeping streets in urban areas of the municipality over the next few weeks beginning on Tuesday, April 7.

Street sweeping will occur in the downtown areas of Picton, Bloomfield and Wellington, followed by the side streets.

Overnight work may be required in order to complete the clean-up in a timely manner. Overnight work is not expected to cause excess noise or disruptions.

Meanwhile, the County will also begin mechanical brushing along roadways across the municipality on Tuesday, April 7.

  • Work is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, April 7 to Friday, May 29 between the hours of 7 am and 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Mechanical brushing is required to open sight lines along the roadways.
  • Heavy equipment and dust may limit visibility in the area.
