Snowfall is causing some last-minute arrangements for parents several parts of the Quinte Region.
Tri-Board has cancelled school buses in Centre and North Hastings on Tuesday. They are running in other parts of the Quinte Region with some delays due to the weather and poor visibility.
NOTICE FROM TRIBOARD
Due to the heavy snow received in some areas overnight, school bus and taxi transportation is cancelled in Tri-Board’s North Hastings & Centre Hastings weather zones today.
A bus is cancelled in a weather zone if it serves a school or has a bus stop located in the weather zone. Buses may be cancelled in other weather zones based on localized forecast conditions.
Schools will remain open however any students driven to school by parents/guardians will need to be picked up at the end of the day. For a complete list of bus cancellations and delays visit: triboard.mybusplanner.ca/Alerts
All Mohawk buses are also cancelled for today, Tuesday April 7/26 and Quinte Mohawk School is closed.
STSCO has also cancelled school buses in Northumberland. The notice is included below.
Please be advised that, due to poor road, driving conditions, and clean-up of overnight snowfall. In the interest of safety, bus and transportation service is cancelled to PETERBOROUGH AND NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY schools in the STSCO jurisdiction for the day. This includes all KPR, PVNC and MonAvenir schools in Peterborough City and County, Northumberland County. Transportation is scheduled to run for Clarington County. Schools will remain open. Posted 6:00 am.
