Fraser Park parking lot partially closed for Trenton trunk sewer project

By Paul Martin Apr 6, 2026 | 10:37 AM

Construction for the Trenton trunk sewer project will begin in the Fraser Park area in downtown Trenton starting next week.

Beginning April 7 until late summer 2026, the parking spaces in the south section of the Fraser Park parking lot will be unavailable while work is completed in the area. Parking spaces along the north part of this parking lot and access to Fraser Park and Fraser Park Drive will be maintained through the end of April.

Project updates and service impacts, including road, sidewalk and other closures, will be shared as the project continues.

About the Trenton trunk sewer project

A new trunk sewer is being installed in the west end of Trenton to support growth and increase water and sewer capacity for up to 5,000 new homes.

This significant infrastructure investment includes a new underground water and sewer main that will extend from downtown Trenton to the west end of the city, including areas of:

  • Fraser Park Drive
  • Albert Street
  • Creswell Drive
  • Victoria Avenue
  • Dufferin Avenue
  • 2nd Dug Hill Road
  • Highway 2

Work began in 2025 and is expected to continue until spring 2027. Learn more about this project and stay up to date at quintewest.ca/TrentonTrunkSewer.
