Cool 100.1 FM (CHCQ-FM), Today’s Best Country, is proud to announce its nomination for Radio Station of the Year (Medium Market) at the 2026 Country Music Association of Ontario (CMAOntario) Awards.

This nomination recognizes excellence in broadcasting, community involvement, and the promotion of country music within the province over the past year. Cool 100 has long served as a cornerstone of the Quinte region’s airwaves, dedicated to supporting both established superstars and emerging Canadian talent.

The nomination highlights the station’s ongoing impact on the local community, driven by local programming and the community support by actively participating in local charities and regional initiatives across Belleville, Trenton, and Prince Edward County.

“Being recognized by the CMAOntario is a testament to the hard work of our entire team and the incredible loyalty of our listeners,” said Paul Ferguson, VP, Programming and Operations at Cool 100.1. “Our goal has always been to provide a world-class listening experience while staying deeply rooted in the Quinte community. This nomination belongs as much to our listeners as it does to the station.”
