A 15-year-old boy has been charged following an incident that triggered a lockdown at a Belleville school on Thursday.
Belleville Police responded to a report of an individual inside a west end secondary school, reported to be Centennial Secondary, with a firearm around 12:30 p.m.
Upon arrival and further investigation, officers located a teenager nearby in possession of a replica firearm and several knives.
The accused is now facing weapons charges.
The school was placed on lockdown while police responded, but the lockdown has since been lifted.
