One arrested in RIDE check in Tyendinaga

On March 4, 2026, Officers from the Tyendinaga Police Service conducted a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Bayshore Road, Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
During the initiative, approximately 40 vehicles were stopped and checked by officers. As a result of the program, one female driver was arrested for impaired driving.
The individual was transported to the Lennox and Addington Ontario Provincial Police detachment, where she provided samples of her breath for analysis.
The individual has been charged with Impaired Driving and Driving while having a Blood Alcohol Concentration over 80.
They are compelled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on April 16th, 2026.
The Tyendinaga Police Service remains committed to proactive enforcement initiatives such as R.I.D.E. programs to help keep impaired drivers off the road and ensure the safety of all community members.
