Drivers are waking up to a heavy blanket of snow and poor visibility in many parts of the Quinte Region on Tuesday.
Several centimetres of snow fell overnight in the region, making roads very slick.
High winds are also greatly reducing visibility.
A Special Weather Statement has been issued by Environment Canada for the Belleville, Quinte West and Brighton areas with winds gusting upwards of 80 km/hour this morning.
Winds are even stronger near the lake. A Wind Warning has been issued in Prince Edward County, with gusts approaching 100 km/hour.
