Crawford claims silver with personal best

By Brock Ormond Mar 30, 2026 | 12:53 PM

Belleville native and Mount St Mary’s University freshman Aidan Crawford threw a personal best throw of 47.08m in Annapolis, Maryland to capture the silver medal in discus at the Navy Outdoor Invitational out of 25 competitors.

The throw gives Crawford top spot in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference discus rankings and number 8th all time in discus on the Mount St Mary Mountaineer’s top 10 list.

The former Eastside Secondary School student is also winning in the classroom where he was one of only 29 freshmen students to make The Mount’s Presidents List with a perfect 4.0 GPA studying Business Administration.
Next action for Crawford is the JMU Invitational in Harrisonburg, Virginia on the campus of James Madison University.
