United Way HPE raises record amount with 2025 campaign

The United Way Hastings Prince Edward has raised a record amount with their fall fundraising campaign.

They held a special event Thursday morning to officially release the 2025 total, which was $2,256,387.

That was slightly more than 2024’s record-setting total of just over 2.25 million.

In September, United Way HPE announced the first step in a bold new three-year challenge.

The 2025 target was announced as $2.4 million, with the goal of building toward $3 million annually by 2028.

Brandi Hodge, Executive Director of United Way Hastings & Prince Edward, expressed how proud she was of the entire community for answering the bell.

“A record is a record…and this one belongs to every workplace donor, volunteer, supporter, and sponsor who chose to give again this year,” she stated.

“It speaks to the compassion, commitment, and generosity of the people and workplaces across Hastings & Prince Edward. At a time when needs continue to grow and we are seeing more funding requests than ever before, this support makes a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbours.”

“Our volunteer cabinet showed up in wonderful ways — opening doors, sparking conversations, and inspiring others to get involved,” campaign co-chairs Jodi and Victor Cooper added in a joint statement.

“This achievement belongs to the entire community. We are so grateful to everyone who gave, advocated, and believed in what we can accomplish together.”

The money raised supports dozens of programs with local non-profit, community agencies.
