The Dukes overcame a four-goal deficit after two periods to take a 4-4 tie out of the Haliburton County Huskies.
The hosts kicked off the proceedings with a goal from Kieran Raynor more than eight minutes into the opening frame, then built on in the second.
Unanswered goals from Brody Coe, Ryan Fairbairn, and Ryan Gosse seemingly put the Huskies into a commanding position on home ice, but Wellington had some other ideas.
The Dukes’ comeback started early in the third, with Aiden Lee burying his ninth of the campaign less than 90 seconds into the period from Zack Carrier and Cole Ellis on a powerplay.
Not long after, Wellington blueliner Justin Doak found the net for the first time this season, launching one home at 3:54 with assistance from Blake Berthiaume and Sammy Longo.
Ellis put one on the board for the second time in as many games to pull Wellington to within one halfway through the stanza, setting the stage for a frantic finish.
With four minutes or so to go in regulation, Lee cut loose again to knot the score, knocking home a failed clearing attempt by Edwards to count his second of the game.
A chaotic two overtime periods featuring many excellent plays and chances, but in the end, the points were split evenly one and one.

The Dukes improve to 57 points on the season with their fourth deadlock of the year ahead of a final installment in the Battle of Quinte Monday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in Trenton against the Golden Hawks.
