Death investigation in Port Hope

The Northumberland Detachment of the OPP is investigating a death in Port Hope.

Thursday, at approximately 5:00 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the area of County Road 65 and 7th Line where one person was located deceased.

Preliminary information suggests this is an isolated incident, with no signs of a broader threat. Police continue to investigate and are actively monitoring the situation.

Residents in the area can expect to see an increased police presence as officers continue the investigation.
