A Kingston woman is deceased after a collision reported between a snowmobile and a truck in Napanee on Thursday.

Palace Rd./County Road 5 between Newburgh Rd. and County Rd. 4 was closed for an extended period due to the collision that happened before 3:30 p.m.

L&A County OPP and emergency services were on scene.

The road was reopened around 10:40 last night following cleanup and investigation.

OPP officials say the rider of the snowmobile, identified as a 61-year-old woman from Kingston, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The occupants of the truck were not hurt.

The investigation by Lennox and Addington County OPP, with the assistance of a Technical Collision Investigation officer and Collision Reconstructionist from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, is continuing.
