Napanee’s Brooks heading to Colombia for Pan Am Championship

By Brock Ormond Jan 13, 2026 | 1:45 PM

A Napanee softball player is taking his talents to Colombia with the rest of Team Canada next month.

Connor Brooks was named to the 16-player Canadian roster for the WBSC Americas Pan American Championship that will be held February 21-28 in Monteria, Colombia.

The event will serve as a qualifier for the 2028 WBSC Men’s World Cup Group Stage, and possibly the 2027 Pan American Games if Men’s Softball is added to the programme.

Brooks has been successful as a pitcher for the Napanee Express organization, winning a U20 Fast Pitch Championship on home soil in 2023 as part of his budding career.

He’s also represented Ontario and Canada at several previous events.

The 22-year-old is one of eight Ontario-born players on the roster.
