Man arrested on outstanding warrant in east-end Belleville

Belleville Police arrested a suspect on an outstanding warrant in the east end of the city on Wednesday night.

On January 21st at 10:31pm, Belleville Police responded to an apartment complex in the city’s east end regarding a report of an unwanted person.

It was reported an unknown male was sleeping in the common area.

Upon arrival, officers observed a male who was known to have an outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrant for fail to comply with a probation order.

As a result, Terry Chevrie, 55-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing
