Cold warning issued in Bay of Quinte Jan 29

Environment Canada has issued a cold warning for the Bay of Quinte on Thursday, January 29.

Frigid temperatures are expected this evening and into early tomorrow morning.

Wind chills of minus 33 to minus 38 will be felt.

Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.

Watch for colour changes on fingers and toes, pain, numbness, a tingling sensation, or swelling. If present, move indoors and begin warming.

Pets should not be kept outside in this weather.

Tonight’s low is -26, feeling like -36. Weather conditions are clear.

Tomorrow’s high is -13. Early in the morning will still feel like -36 before warming up.
