A Campbellford man is facing charges for his role in a reported crash in Trent Hills Thursday evening.
Shortly after 6 p.m., police and fire crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on County Road 30
No serious injuries were reported; however, both a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle sustained extensive damage.
After speaking with one of the involved drivers, Northumberland OPP officers initiated an impaired driving investigation and arrested that driver.
Lee Ferrill, 42, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
- Disobey stop sign – fail to stop
The accused is scheduled to appear in Cobourg Court in February. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impound were also imposed.
OPP officials stated if you know or suspect that a driver is impaired by alcohol or drugs, call 9-1-1. Your call could prevent serious consequences.
